Trainee Representative

This member sits on the Education Committee and is responsible to be the liaison between all vascular science trainees and the CSVS GB&I education committee. This includes, designing and leading the Training Breakout Session at the Annual Scientific Meetings each year, updating non-AVS CSVS members on relevant information and seeking questions/suggestions from members in training to aid the education committee’s direction. You would be required to attend 4 in person meetings per year, usually held in Birmingham, reporting on updates within the role and providing input at the meeting on all other topics discussed relating to CSVS education.

The candidate would have good communication skills and be working towards accredited vascular scientist status

Education Pathways Representative (1 year maternity cover)

This member sits on the Education Committee and is the liaison between the education providers or awarding bodies (e.g. NSHCS/degree providers) and the CSVS GB&I at all education levels, attending relevant meetings in relation to this, and supports the development of the career framework for vascular science in accordance with the CSVS vision and vascular science workforce requirements. You would be required to attend 4 in person meetings per year, usually held in Birmingham, reporting on updates within the role and providing input at the meeting on all other topics discussed relating to CSVS education.

The candidate would have good communication skills and knowledge and/or experience of all current training pathways in Vascular Science (from level 2-8). Having knowledge or experience in curriculum writing would also be helpful but is not essential.
